July 1, 2018 marks the one year anniversary of when I applied for a job in Denver, Colorado, and quit my job of five years in New York City. It was the best decision I’ve ever made as I now call Denver home. I’ve subsequently interviewed for said position and started that role in October 2017. I love my job, but I told myself that if I didn’t find a job in Denver that I’d make my own. And that would be to start Denver Greeter.

As a volunteer for Big Apple Greeter, I met 65 visitors from 30+ cities from all over the world. My interactions with each were both unique and memorable, but all gave me the same, great sense of helping others. I want to be able to do that for the visitors of Denver. So while I’m teaching myself how to build a website, and run a non-profit, feel free to email me at denvergreeter@gmail.com and I’d be happy to help answer any questions about Denver, Colorado, and the USA.

And here’s a little about Denver Greeter:

Denver Greeter offers you a unique insight into greater Denver through the eyes and hearts of our residents. A local volunteer can help plan your itinerary, answer questions, and provide a custom greeter-guided visit based on your interests. Whether you want to learn more about the city’s history, attend a Rockies game, visit the Botanical Gardens, create your own food tour, or take a neighborhood stroll, we have a host for you! This is a FREE service and guaranteed to enrich your stay!

We invite you to discover the Mile High City and Colorado, home to seven professional sports teams, the Rocky Mountains, the Great Sand Dunes, 30 natural hot springs, and 58 fourteeners. Colorado is a magnet for adventure seekers as it offers the country’s best skiing, snowboarding, hiking, rafting, kayaking, and rock climbing. Return to Denver for its art, music, food, and shopping. With over 300 days of sunshine annually and low humidity, Denver is a great place to visit, any time.
